Description:
The oldest laceleaf cultivar (available in Japan since 1710), 'Tamukeyama' has withstood the test of time. Young foliage is deep crimson-red hardening off to a nice purple-red. The leaves emerge a bit later and are less dissected than similar cultivars, avoiding late frost damage. Leaves hold their color through the many stresses of a typical New England summer.
