Description:
Yellow umbels (similar to those of Queen Anne's Lace) above compound green foliage in late spring to early summer. Not to be confused with the invasive, Wild Parsnip, Zizia is shorter, blooms earlier, and prefers moist soils over drier ones. Excellent food source for a number of pollinators including black swallowtail butterflies and their larvae. An excellent addition to a rain garden or naturalized, moist, sunny border. NATIVE.
